Position Description

Get Unstuck in Your Career – Practice Medicine Your Way!

Are you ready to practice patient-centered care at a pace that works for you? Join our small, integrative primary care team in SE Portland, where you can create meaningful patient relationships and enjoy work-life balance. We are a busy practice with a warm, friendly environment, and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to step in as one of our three providers transitions out. We would like a new provider to absorb this patient load, as well as visit with new clinic patients, to ensure that they can be seen in a timely manner. You’ll have the chance to shape your schedule and expand your role as our patient load continues to grow.

Why You Should Join Us:

  • Hybrid Role: 1 day in-office, with an optional half-day of remote telemedicine.
  • Flexibility: Start with 1-1.25 patient days per week and expand to part-time or full-time based on your availability and patient demand.
  • Work-Life Balance: See patients at a reasonable pace to avoid burnout and foster long-term relationships.
  • Supportive Environment: Join a harmonious, dedicated team of providers and staff who prioritize patient care and teamwork.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in adult primary care who is a great listener and communicator. Our integrative practice blends conventional care with evidence-based alternative medicine, so openness to complementary therapies is important. Extra experience or study in integrative medicine is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed NP in Oregon (active and in good standing)
  • 2 years or more of clinical experience preferred (newer practitioners with excellent skills are welcome)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build patient relationships
  • Openness to integrative medicine and a holistic approach to care
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for patients while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide adult primary care services in an integrative, patient-centered practice
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality care
  • Share on-call phone responsibilities with other providers (rotation-based)
  • Maintain timely and accurate charting (EMR)
  • Uphold all licensure, CE, and malpractice requirements

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: Competitive productivity-based pay with opportunities for growth as your patient load increases
  • Administrative Support: We handle your billing and scheduling, so you can focus on patient care
  • Beautiful Practice Location: Centrally located and attractive clinic space in SE Portland
  • Rewarding Work: Build lasting relationships with patients at a pace that works for you and avoid burnout
  • Autonomy: Shape your own practice within a supportive, independent contractor model

Important Notes:

  • This is an independent contractor position, so you’ll need to maintain your own malpractice insurance, have a laptop, and be registered as a business with the State of Oregon.

If you’re excited about practicing medicine on your terms and are ready to join a practice that prioritizes patient care and provider well-being, we’d love to hear from you!

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our practice. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
